Intella-Sense Optical Control

The Intella-Sense is an electro-optical system composed of precision infrared (or optically visible red) optics mated to a specifically designed and programmed microcomputer.  A beam is sent through a light guide that is aligned with and irradiates the part process of interest.  A second light guide (frequently the same light guide) collects any residual light energy and conducts it back to a detector.  There, the amount of received energy is converted into a digital number and displays as the signal level.  This level continuously compared to two sets of programmed limits that, in turn, control the state of two optoisolated outputs.

Other parameters, such as mode (light on/dark on), turn on delay, and turn off delay, can be programmed.  Additionally, the optoisolated input can be used to substitute an entirely different set of parameters via remote control.
